TOYOTA TUCKIN' 18

Here's a slammin' mini-truck from Florida. This Toyota belongs to Jeff Baker. His attention to detail has left no part of his truck untouched. Shaved, smoothed, chromed, painted, tweeded, removed, replaced, modified. So much has been done that we will jump right to the details.

The body modifications began by bolting on a set of 4 wheel drive fenders. Then various items were shaved, including the 3rd brake light, antenna, and windsheild washers on the hood. A full-width phantom grille and crome front end conversion were added to the front, while chrome fender trim, mirrors and door handles adorn the sides of the truck. A sliding sunroof lets the sun shine in while cruising and a flush-mout tonneau cover hides the bed. The paint is the stock emerald green with added blue pearl and painted racing stripes with 3 coats clear.

The truck was set closer to the ground with 2-inch Belltech spindles and lowered torsion bars in the front. The rear of the truck was brought down with lowered leaf springs and 4-inch blocks. The total effect is a whopping 6/7 drop. Rolling stock includes huge 18-inch Niche Geffell wheels wrapped in super-low profile 215/35zr18 Toyo Proxes FZ4 tires. To get the truck down over those huge rims, the inner fenderwells were removed. The shocks were then relocated. When not cruising, Jeff is out racing with his 15-inch Centerline 5 star wheels with mickey thompson drag slicks.

Engine modifications include a 485 lift Crane cam, Flowtech header, a 2 1/2-inch exhaust with 3 chamber Flowmaster muffler, and K&N filtercharger.

The interior includes a Momo race steering wheel, shift knob, and pedals. The stock panels were covered in tweed, and a pair of Honda Civic buckets was added for comfort. A carbon fiber kit adds style to the dash. The audio system uses two 10-inch Kicker Solo Baric subwoofers and 8 top-end (Resolution and Free Air) Kicker mids and highs.

Jeff tells us that his truck has so many more custom modifications it would be nearly impossible to come up with a compelete list, and we would have to agree. He cruises around his home in Florida with his fellow members of Gulf Coast Customs.
