Ben purchased this Dodge Dakota in June of 1997. From the factory, it was equipped with the 3.9L V6 engine which produces 175 hp at 4800 rpm and 225 ft-lb torque at 3200 rpm. All that power is channeled to the rear wheels through a 4-speed automatic tranny and a 3.55 rear end. The truck also has black paint with red and silver pinstripes. The truck came from the factory with the Sport Package, which includes options such as fog lamps, body-colored grille and body-colored front and rear fascias. Ben knew how to equip a real truck, and opted not to get the power locks, windows, or seats.
Even though the truck came ready for action from the factory, Ben still sought modifications to improve the package. He started with a Trenz billet 3rd brake light cover, Trenz stainless steel dash kit, a Penda SR bedliner, 20% Tint on all 3 windows with a header strip across the windshield, V-Tech speciality tailight covers (Ram-Head design) and Ventshades. Then Ben bolted on a set of Ultra wheels Type #340 and turned the Blackwalls out on his tires. Inside, the music comes in clear through a Kenwood KDC-S3007 CD Player.
Ben's still hunting for more parts, including GTS headlight blackouts, ARE tonneau cover (with a huge Dodge Ram head airbrushed onto it), and a custom paint job. The engine remains stock, but Ben's hunting for the right engine mods to give some killer Dodge power.
