'98 Dakota "Lo-Pro"

While some may consider the ultimate sport truck to embody pure style, the harsh reality is such a vehicle is hardly driven beyond the trailer to the show spot. For those who have to settle for only one vehicle in their possession, a daily-driven sport truck is their only choice. For these people, the ultimate truck becomes a blend of style and function. Take a page from A.R.E. Inc.'s book, more specifically, a look at the showpiece for their Lo-Pro Tonneau Cover, a smooth, low-profile, over-the rail tonneau cover.

Their Dodge Dakota demonstrates the beauty of compromise. Interior sounds are handled using a complete Alpine Electronics audio system installed by Horizon Audio. The system begins with an Alpine CVA-1000 System Control Monitor/Receiver. A CD changer flush-mounted in the center console sends the tunes through an Alpine MRV-F352 4 Channel + Subwoofer Drive Power Amplifier. An Alpine SEC-8052 Mobile Security System keeps the whole package safe.

The street stance comes via a full air adjustable suspension by Chassis Tech. The system can raise or lower the suspension at the push of a button. Wheels are from American Eagle, series 149. They measure 16x8-inches and wear BFGoodrich tires.

The exterior of the truck is sports a Keystone Restyling "Good Hood" with ram-air style induction scoops. Keystone Restyling Ground Effects wrap around the truck and a matching smooth roll pan was added at the rear. To top everything off the truck was given a fresh coat of DuPont paint, covering all of the door handles, tailgate handle, grille, and front bumper.

Night styling comes from Low Glow Neon under-body accents. The bed interior has a Wise Industries BedRug for added appearance and comfort.
